A function is continuous if its continuous at all points in its domain. Since point functions don't have set of intervals in which continuity is to be tested. They can be said continous as they are giving values for a number within their domain. Hence point functions are continuous

Sir point functions are continous It is given in ncert

Sir But in NCERT, point functions are mentioned as continuous (page 150, bottom-most)

And also in example that you took, f(x) is expressed as the sum of three individual continuous functions so it should be continuous ?
