I lived a stone's throw from the castle for a number of years. The view of those magnificent ramparts and the sound of the lone piper playing from them each evening never got old. I can't say the same of the one o'clock gun though! I miss the city, so your video guides give me a nice reminder.

Really enjoyed your video. I was lucky enough to visit Edinburgh twice from Louisiana USA. And I’d come back at any opportunity. Going to Edinburgh this May with my sisters. Our grandmother was from a Bordertown, Hawick, spending s few days there and 4 in Edinburgh, the rest in London. Have been doing a lot of research on the family….looking forward to seeing the Castle. Nicely done.

Just wondering if there's a bus service that takes you up The Golden Mile for disabled people ? If so it would be helpful to know its service number and where it can be got. A great video thank you for your time and effort. Rab

Hi, David, I have an odd question: I know what it is, but does the word "maud" symbolize anything in Scotland? If so, can the symbolic term be tied in any reasonable way to Edinburgh Castle, if not symbolically then materially? Thanks for any insight you can offer.
