The switch opener is by far my favorite one of the Gateron tools. It saves so much time and makes opening switches fun. I haven’t picked up the other ones, but I’ll definitely look into them.

I saw this kit for about £110 and thought it was a rip off. Then I saw the individual prices for the tools and the premium for teh gold theme and OTT box seemed OK.

Man they gave you the Presidential Edition. That switch puller is the destroyer of plates, but that keycap puller is the truth. I will never use anything else except that keycap puller from now on.

Could these tools be used for any MX styled switches? I'm sure the keycap puller would work on an caps, but I'm curious about the others.

Ive searched online and I cannot find a regular version of this gateron DIY tool kit let alone the treasure version, only mentions of it on their twitter.

Tools are great but the switch opener.. Sometimes it opens a hole in the middle of the switch(that big pin that is under the switch, you put it on the pcb)

Will the switch puller leave scratches on a brass plate?

For the record that switch opener only works on cherry style switches it will not work on the kalih ones.

However there's a seller on Amazon I just found last week that sells the exact same design but with a swappable bottom piece so u can always open ur switches no matter the design I was so happy when I got mine yesterday and I got a new bunch of switches today's gonna be a good Sunday boys

i scraped up my aluminum plate with a metal switch puller and broke a few switch bottom housing good thing it was only a $25 mech on amazon
