Lei Feng was a soldier in the People's Liberation Army and is a legend in China. After his death, Lei was characterized as a selfless and modest person devoted to the Communist Party, Mao Zedong, and the people of China. 1. Bitter childhood

Lei Feng embodies the communist noble moral character of hardship and simplicity, diligence and thrift

Lei FENG WAS BORN ON December 18, 1940 IN A POOR PEASANT'S FAMILY IN LEifeng TOWN, Changsha, HUNAN PROVINCE. It was the lunar GENGnian year, and his parents gave him the baby name "GENG Ya".

1943 -1947 (thirty-two to thirty-six years of the Republic of China), grandfather Lei Xinting, father Lei Mingliang, mother Zhang Yuanman, brother Lei Zhengde died tragically, younger brother starved to death at home, only seven years old Lei Feng from then on became an orphan, in six uncle and six uncle grandma pulled, hard to survive.

2. Turn over the liberation

3.Having a job

In the summer of 1956, after graduating from primary school, I worked in the production team for nearly three months as an assistant of autumn recruitment, responsible for collecting public grain work. After the Anqing township government as a messenger, soon transferred to Wangcheng County committee when civil servants.

On February 8, 1957, Guangrong joined the New Democratic Youth League of China and was rated as a model of work in the county Party Committee. In the summer of the same year, he served as a correspondent of the headquarters of the Wei Zhi Project in Wangcheng County. When the project was finished, he was awarded the model of Wei Zhi. [23]

In the spring of 1958, Lei Feng took office at Tuanshan Lake Farm. In response to the call of Wangcheng County Youth League Committee to donate a tractor, Lei Feng donated 20 yuan, become the county youth donation of the most one, the county committee decided to send Lei Feng to learn to drive a tractor. On March 16, the first article "I learned to drive a tractor" was published in Wangcheng Newspaper. In September, Lei Feng answered the call and worked as a bulldozer in Anshan, Liaoning province. [2] On November 15, Lei Feng went to Anshan Iron and Steel Plant to participate in the socialist construction, was assigned to be a bulldozer in the coal washing workshop of Anshan Chemical General plant, and soon attended the Anshan youth socialist construction activist congress.

4.Joined the army
On December 9, 1959, the Mining Daily of Gongchangling published Lei Feng's application "I am Determined to Meet the Call", expressing his firm determination to actively request to join the army.

In April 1960, Lei Feng returned to the transport Company from the regiment's amateur performance team. One month later, Lei Feng became a qualified car driver among the recruits and the first to go down to the combat class.

August 1960: took part in rescue and relief work at Shangsi Reservoir, fought for 7 days and nights while ill, with outstanding performance, and was awarded a second-class award by the League Party Committee. 5.Honor to join the party

On November 8, 1960, the Party CONGRESS of the Transportation Branch approved Lei Feng's application to join the Party and was elected as the people's representative of Fushun City.

On November 9, 1960, under the chairing of Han Wanjin, Party Secretary and Political commissar of the Corps, the Corps held a temporary enlarged meeting of the Party Committee at the Shenyang Military Area Command and approved Lei Feng as a member of the Communist Party of China.

On November 23, 1960, the Party Committee of the Engineering Corps of Shenyang Military Region made the decision to award Lei Feng the title of "Model Communist Youth League Member".

On November 27, 1960, Lei Feng was awarded the second-class merit. As a representative of meritorious service, he made a speech at the awarding conference of the whole league. Wu Haishan, the head of the regiment, and Han Wanjin, the political commissar, presented the second-class merit certificate and the "Model Youth League Member" certificate to Lei Feng respectively.

On December 1, 1960, Lei Feng's diary (from August 30, 1959 to November 15, 1960, 15 articles) was first published in the Shenyang Military Region's "Forward". This month, Lei Feng published a signed article in the Forward Daily, "After Liberation, I have a Family, and My Mother is the Party."

On February 3, 1961, he was invited to Haicheng Garrison to make a report about the troubles and easy talks with the national combat heroes, Zhishunyi (comrade Dong Cunrui).

In May 1961, Lei Feng was elected as a deputy to the Fourth People's Congress of Fushun City, Liaoning Province, as a candidate of the whole league.

On July 27, 1961, he received a notice from Fushun People's Committee.

In the Spring Festival of 1962, Lei Feng published a letter to the Young Comrades in the Spring Festival of 1962 in the Forward Daily.

On February 14, 1962, Lei Feng was elected as a delegate to the Party Congress and attended the Congress of the 10th Regiment of the Chinese Communist Army Engineers.

On February 19, 1962, Lei Feng, as a specially invited representative, attended the first meeting of the representatives of the Communist Youth League of Shenyang Military Region, and was elected as a member of the presidium to speak at the meeting.

6.Accidental death
