Learning this for my dad. He is in the hospital fighting for his life. I dont know if he can hear or understand me, but I hope this song can calm him. His brain is damaged, and he might not understand words, but this piece is his favorite, so I hope he can recognize it.

This guy is so good at explaining everything from the chords to the mood/feel and time, and also how to get better faster. And he’s a real charmer as well! Five out of five stars

Bro, that chord push up technique was absolutely gold. I’ll have that forever. Thank you.

Loved this tutorial
I was searching for the name of this song and finally found it
So I thought that it would be something really relaxing to play

Unbelievable how helpful this was. Thank you for explaining this in a way that’s not dumbed down but also capable of a non classically trained musician to understand.

Hey, great lessons! I really enjoy them. Have you considered playing the whole song through at the start? I think hearing it played first would really help with learning the song. I know I can just look it up on another video, but I would love you hear you play it.

The first time I played this even barely sounding good I felt the best I have since the start of 2020.

I had to play this video at 0.5x speed to get into the mood back in the days Satie pulled this off. Thanks man.

I love this song. It's so dark but beautiful, I really wanna play it on guitar. Thanks.

Not everything has to require playing skills to sound beautiful. Trois Gymnopedie is exactly that. Slow and relaxing. Makes me wanna imagine myself hanging out on my balcony looking at some nature scenery while enjoying some coffee, in the countryside.

Even better when you know the meaning of the word, basically in Greek means bare child (not in a weird way though 😅) that could be interpreted as showing no concern and being "free".

Also I love how this sounds so beautiful both on guitar and piano (maybe i like the guitar a lil more!)

Chord push-ups.
Thank you for that.

I've been playing for 25 years but I think I learned more from this well explained 15 minutes than my music teacher in Middle school in 3 years, thank you. Of course Mr. Smith was a crank, he loved music, just not teaching kids...
