The game is actually from Russia. I Also think the missing kids aren't just random kids. They're Theodore Peterson's (the neighbor) children: Aaron and Mya Peterson. For me, he's not an evil person, but a person with way too many bad days with people dying all around him. People were killed by the attractions he made (he was a theme park designer), his wife Diane died from a car crash and his daughter Mya was accidentally killed by Aaron. And now he tries to give Aaron some sort of quarantine protenishment (protection and punishment combined).

Just telling you that the child the neighbour was seen kidnapping was actually his own child, this was proven by the hello neighbour hide and seek game, it gave us some backstory on the neighbour or Mr Peterson.

The story is that the neighbour has two very imaginative children, one boy, one girl, and they love to play hide and seek, through one of their games their parents left for a bit, but then they got in a car crash and the neighbour’s wife died. He came back home distraught, the only thing indicating her death being his return with just her purse. The boy is angered by this and in the next game of hide and seek he plays with his sister and he is much more aggressive. They then play one final game, and this time instead of the boy counting, he hides, the girl counts and walks across a very precarious plank at the top of the house, at the end of the plank is the girl’s favourite doll, presumably the only thing that reminds her of her mother now. The boy finds her on the edge of the bridge and he is furious, he pushes her without a second thought and she falls off. A slow motion segment lasting like a minute of the boy looking back on his falling sister. The game ends there with the credits rolling and the neighbour in the background burying the girl.

That game was a prequel to the original hello neighbour games, i think that the constant screaming heard in the other games and the neighbour being shown trying to fight something or hide something was actually him trying to lock his son somewhere to punish him for KILLING his sister

The Hello Neighbor franchise has been doing terrible these past few years, so I'm hoping this will be the saving grace of this franchise.

Yooo Hello Neighbor too? Man all my childhood games are coming back with bangers, it makes me so happy to see this game back. Yes, the story is confusing but man this game will forever stay in my mind as good memories, can't wait to watch this and more parts of this game play :D

i’m surprised they made the neighbor terrifying again. he’s much scarier in this game than he ever was before and i’m down for it completely. let’s hope tinyBuild really did try to make this their best one yet!

0:41 the game has it's own made up language. It's basically taking English words and moving some letters around! I'm pretty sure the sign is supposed to say "Welcome to Ravenbrooks" ravenbrooks is the name of the city the game takes place in
