2012 Acadia w/approx 85K mi well maintained has recently been shifting into 4wd on the fly and randomly. Brought it into one of the few remaining Sears Auto Centers few mos ago where they
changed the tranny fluid w/out disturbing filter/pan. Noticeable downshift and Traction Control Off, Service Stabilitrak, Service Traction Control and Engine Power is Reduced msgs come on as result.
Thoughts please, thanks!

I believe Subaru's AWD system also works on just 2 diagonal wheels. Over just the last 4 years a lot of AWD systems have improved tremendously.

Someone with just FWD would barrel through this at a high speed. LOL.

I have a 2017 acadia all terrain edition, ive had zero issues on wet roads or 6 inches of snow/ ice, as long as you drive with common sense in any vehicle in adverse weather conditions you will be ok, unless sum other moron slides into you 🙄

That’s an Acadia Denali. I know because we own a 2018.

It does not have the twin clutch setup.

Only the 2017-2019 All Terrain trim and the 2020+ AT4 trim have the twin clutch.

I’d love to be proven wrong if you can find some documentation, especially since we own one. But that’s what everything I’ve read states.

2016 Acadia owner There's a reason they didn't show it turning in the snow!! Even with NEW tires is SUCKS. Sliding in the snow, with no traction light, no ABS light and ZERO control at slow speeds. That's my experience and my girlfriends as well.... so it's not just me. Sad part, dealer (Napleton GMC in Schaumburge IL) says everything good. So, if the vehicles to factory IT SUCKS worse than an impala, rear wheel cougar or crown all non-AWD cars.
