A woman captured the moment she stayed calm - as a family of bison charged towards her car.

Passenger Marisah Yazbek, 29, was on a road-trip to Montana, USA, with her friend Alina Ezzi.

The friends from California, USA were travelling through Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming when the herd of bison approached the road.

A video shows the moment panic sets in for Alina and absolute calmness for Marisah as the animals make their way across the road.

Marisah, a producer from Temecula, California, said the incident "made for a perfect look at what the friendship dynamic is like between the two."

She added: "We were on vacation, making a few stops on our scenic route to Montana.

"Once we entered Yellowstone, we immediately noted the wildlife and were in awe of the scenery.

"At first, we were comfortable seeing Bison from afar - especially if they were walking leisurely or sitting.

"But once we saw a herd of bison running towards the road we were on, we thought it best to keep a considerable distance away from them.

"The driver, Alina Ezzi, was scared of what could happen as the bison drew closer to the vehicle.

"I was thrilled that I would be able to capture footage of this event.

"The two quite opposite responses made for a perfect look at what the friendship dynamic is like between the two."

After panicking and calming down the pair laughed off the situation and carried on with their journey to Montana.

Marisah said: "We were in awe of what just happened and couldn't stop laughing.

"We kept driving but didn't get too far.

"Right after the herd of bison passed two smaller bison crossed the road to keep up with their family.

"We both thought they were so cute!"

The footage was captured on March 23.

"I'm not looking at them" is very similar to, "I'm not looking at it, " which is something I've said many times. It's worked for me, as well.

Funny story. 1970. Just after dusk. Several cars have pulled over to see what a group of Rangers are doing on the stretch of road between Lake Lodge and Canyon. They're watching for an individual floating down Yellowstone River toward Upper Falls. An emergency.
One Ranger not involved in the "rescue", decides to entertain the tourists (me included) with a Bison vs. Car story. A V.W. Bug had come across a large object blocking the road one night. The driver decided to honk the horn at the object after his engine revs, and thrusts forward failed to make the object move. After the third honk, the object charged his car, ramming it and nocked his V.W. over on it's side. The tourist hiked back to Canyon to get help from Rangers, who, upon arriving at the scene, found a large male Bison still standing near the now dented car. It was mating season.

Bison won’t be concerned by a parked car. The driver should know that. Otherwise why is she driving?

Thank you for stain your vehicle, I’ve seen more obtuse clods here on YouTube attempting to get a selfie and they were rewarded alright, like being gored .

And that's what you're supposed to do. Stop getting pictures taken with them and touching them and bothering them they've already been through enough they're recovering from trying to be extinct.

Obviously staying calm was the right choice but still my instinctual response would be GTFO! but my family has scheduled a visit to YELLOWSTONE for this summer. I will definitely mark down this response as the best course of action.

They're so pretty! It's lovely to let them living free. I think this wouldn't make me panic at all. My panic would be when men on a motorbike encountered two tigers in a road in india, you can see the video in youtube.

No need for a panic attack. Just stop, pull to the side if you can and remains calm and INSIDE your vehicle.
