Atco Dragway Import Revival FWD Class Elimination Rounds and Winners Circle!
Over 16 cars competed on Saturday to qualifying for Sundays elimination rounds.
The top 3:
Nelson Aleman- 8.105 at 186mph.
Robert Mapps- 8.305 at 181mph.
Ricky Silva-8.326 at 183mph
The top 12 cars in the 16 car field were all between 8.1 and 8.8 seconds. But just because qualifying didn't go as planned for some does not mean you should count them out!
Juan Borges came out swinging from the bottom qualifying spot in the Import DPS freshly wrapped La Fluffy FWD Civic. He was in the number 16 qualifying spot after battling issues Saturday. First round they faced off against rival and number 1 qualifier Nelson from Chapulin Performance. These guys have gone back and forth trading blows over the years. They did not disappoint, The fastest and quickest side by side pass to date in this class!! 8.0 to 8.1! You don't want to miss that matchup!
Many other great matchups and side by side races. Ricky Silva and El Bobo in the finals was awesome, Rolando and Juan from JJ Auto have a score to settle, and I know Ivan wants one more pass after running great all weekend. Drama, Tension, Excitement, Records, all these make up a wild and exciting weekend!
Congrats to Abe, Rome, El Bobo, Angel, Cauly and the entire DPS crew on the event win and new Atco FWD track Record!
