This brings back my childhood memories. Gothic was the first PC game I ever played, and I modded it endlessly. It was the game that inspired me to pursue a career in game development and 3D art. Seeing your vision for Gothic is not just visually stunning—it's something you can truly be proud of. I can’t wait to see what you’ve done with this game. Hopefully, someday I'll have the chance to work on a project like this too. But that’s... a story for another time.

Original studio didn't even know how to repeat the success of G1 and G2 and they didn't want to tackle anything about Gothic anymore. They were a relic of the past, so much different than teams working on first Gothics. Their last games looked more like parodies of Gothic greatness than anything else. Aside of other things that happened that was reason why they were not succesful and ultimately they ended up closed. For years fans were making mods, and today fans are making remake, love letter to the community, and people still are going to say it's going to be a disaster, pointing out that game isn't 100% faithfull to the original, but at the same time they are angry that this isn't perfect remake and it's not living to theirs standards. For people who don't want changes please play Original if u want better graphics, there's DX11 mod. Remake is on UE5 and people almost immediately are going to make mods for it so don't worry: if u not going to like something about remake: there's probably going to be tons of tons of mods.
