I have a mini 2 and was considering upgrading to the mini 3 but as you stated is it really worth it money wise! Especially in #2 where I thought B was the best picture and turned out to be the mini. Slightly better night exposure in #5 for the mini 3, but I am now not convinced it deserves the upgrade, just for obstacle avoidance and a few updates! Its the same with my mavic 2 pro, why would I pay a fortune for the Mavic 3! Seems many videos on here are conning us and obviously sponsored by DJI! I suggest you invest in an older model and just have as much fun and save your hard earned cash!

​ @TedNemeth, thank you very much for comparison! Are you sure, that Challenge #1 footage "A" is from Mini 2? There are much more detail in low light conditions. Maybe footage "A" is from Mini 3 though?

Did you reupload this challenge? In my opinion the Mini 2 can still compete with the Mini 3, especially with a bit of postprocessing. However, the low light performance of the Mini 3 camera is much better and I guess the dynamic range is, too. Great video, Ted. I love your style.🤘💪

Wow!! A) What a Concept! B) Brilliant delivery! Ted - this was excellent! My answers??? Since I have both, I'm in a 'Good Place' in many ways but - for me? - 'A' got all the ticks until the last for some reason. (The Mini 3 Pro has the faster lens!!! Go figure!)

When i had mini 2, there are 2 things that i hope are better, 1. Dynamic range. 2. Bigger aperture lens. Mini 3 improved on these 2 and also have bigger and better sensor. I hope pocket 3 will use this sensor with f1.4 lens for better low light performance.

Funny thing, in all but last my favorite was the mini 2. The 3 did better at night. Still very happy with my mini 2. And with the Maven app I get some of those track and follow me features that the DJI app doesn't give me.

I just looked at which I think looked best, not guessing which drone did better. Funny, all of my choices that I thought were better were all Mini 3. Mini 2 suffered a bit in every single one of them. I have the Mini 2. If this isn't motivation to upgrade to the Mini 3 or 4. I don't know what is? Thank you for the video. The 3rd clip was the closest out of all your tests.

Good job as always Ted. I don't own the mini2 or mini3. So I think I'm going with the mini3 on my next drone purchase. My Evo1 still works great, but time to get something a lot more portable. Support from your fellow Long Islander.
