When I use CLI to do dotnet run in version 3.1, I always get application name as output
(Ex: EmployeeManagement) and not the dotnet; Did something change with 3.1. Please clarify. Thanks

Hi @kuvenkat, In the case of 5.0 version instead of Dotnet it shows Project Name(Employee Management in your Case) while using OutOfProcess hosting.

7:30 did you mean the app will always run InProcess? Kestrel will be used only, you said OutOfProcess, that implies two servers are being used

Hi Venkat, while running the same application through Mac we are not having an option to run on a particular profile. Is there a solution to this? Or it is that IIS cannot be installed in Mac and so we are left with just one profile.

Hi Venkat,

When we run our asp.net core project with the following settings in place, I don't understand why the process name that is displayed in the browser is dotnet ???

If we have the IIS Express launch profile selected where the commandName is set to IISExpress, the AspNetCoreHostingModel element value is set to OutOfProcess, kestrel is used as the internal web server and IIS Express is used as the external web server.

Why core is provides these many varieties of hostiing? iis, iisexpress, kestrel, kestrel with iis ? Since most people use core for cross platform purpose is only kestrel with iis would not be enough?
