When I was a kid, my mom would have a stack of recipes that she had torn out of Southern Living Magazine. Whenever she was looking for a recipe, she would thumb through the whole stack. I realized I was basically doing the same thing with recipes on my phone and stacks that I had randomly printed out. So I came up with a system that works for me and I made a video for you about it… Hope it helps you!

I totally do this already. You just made my day. Like others have said, I too put them all in plastic sleeves, then at the beginning of the week I just pull out the recipes I want for each night and pop them on the cook book stand. They’re protected in their little sleeves from splashes and spills. Gee I love Holly cooking days! ❤

Instead of marking recipes in a cookbook with sticky notes, I highlight the recipe with a marker in the index. When I'm looking for ideas I just turn to the back of the book and look for what is highlighted. Thanks, Holly!

Wow! such a beautiful classy way to organize recipes.
This even makes it more fun to try out varieties of dishes.
I'm gonna try this method.
Thank you so much Holly.😊

Hi there!! I actually do the SAME thing with printed recipes! Something I do, a little hint that helps in the long run for spills, etc… is I pre-loaded my binder with a bunch of clear sleeves so all I have to do is slide my recipe in it. No hole-punching involved, no getting disconnected from the binder and keeps it clean on the occasional “spill” that might happen, haha!

I love this idea, Holly. Thank you! I have mine in a binder but they aren’t that organized. I love the section idea and the fun dividers.

I organize mine the exact same way, although my binder cover isn't nearly as cute! I also photocopy recipes out of other cookbooks and file them in my binder so they are easy to find. I have done the same with handwritten recipe cards. Otherwise I forget I have them if they are in multiple locations! As an aside, I replicated my entire binder for my son and his new wife as a gift and plan to do the same for my daughter when she is ready for it!

Mine are in a card file box. Most are in my head from years of cooking. Teaching my kids how to cook my parents home cooked meals. Loads of fun. Thank you for your ideas.

Thanks for sharing ❤…
I need to reorganize my recipes… I have begun copying some recipes and them in a notebook… and putting them in some of the plastic sleeves so that I can wipe any splatter off of them…and keep them securely in the notebook 😊
