as a scottish person it’s a relief to have a scottish character that actually sounds like just a guy you’d bump into in the street here. and what an amazing backstory of finding a community when the system has failed you!

This is what I feel was missing from a lot of the OW2 era characters (not all). This actually builds upon pre-existing lore and themes and moves the story forward.

It doesn't feel like "Oh, I forgot to tell you Mei has a niece from space and Hanzo and Genji went to school with a superhero. By the way, Machu Pichu was actually Wakanda and now it's Atlantis."

It feels like "The premise of Overwatch lightheartedly tackles the question of 'What if Superheroes and Villains were enlisted into assymetric war?' With different powers, ideologies and backgrounds, they react very differently. So, how about this perspective: what does a veteran and victim of this war do if Overwatch witholds Moira's "unethical" when it can save his life from torment?

I am so happy this character isn't simply a condensation of every tired Scottish stereotype (alcoholic, "freedom", clans and castles, accentfunny). They got an actual Scotsman to play a modern Scottish character who speaks the proper dialect. The voice is so authentic that he sounds like he could be my neighbour.
I am very excited.

First frame instantly showing him drinking irn-bru is great.

For anyone unaware the orange can in his hand with the blue label is a Scottish soda pronounced Iron-Brew. I drink it all the time but i don't really know how to describe it. The liquid is the same vibrant orange as the can.

Yesterday, Hazard seemed boring in comparison to Susannah and Boomslang (thanks for the names for them and Jackdaw)
Today, I can clearly see Hazard is finally another hero among the Tank characters, and is truly a force of rebellion.

FINALLY. Some deep, well written character lore showing the struggles that some humans can actually relate to. A cool and interesting character with a fun personality and resonating background. Is this the first step back into meaningful stories and characters? Are we returning to the LORE?! Please oh God please let the lore come back. Do that and bring back the loot boxes and I’m sure the game will be back.

This is the thing that Kirko, Lifeweaver, Ilari, Venture and Juno felt lacking of, a story that fit into overwatch. A grounded character, with an original background that feels like it can fit into the whole premise of overwatch, asymmetric war. love the character and the design, up there with some of my favourite designs!
