For all the people who have depression like I do, diagnosed or not, you know what I mean when I say this song describes everything perfectly. Feeling like you're tired, but you want to get up somewhere down deep, but you can't. You want to get better, or you did, and people say you will, but there's no way to see ahead. Trying to forget and remember at the same time. Don't be afraid to talk to someone about it. Even if it's a close friend, even if you don't feel like they'll understand, sometimes just putting it out there is better than suffering alone. I know it damages a person to suffer alone.

I imagine the story of a kingdom fallen long ago told in hushed whispers and told in songs inside of bars and taverns across the lands, telling of a queen who was sacrificed to start a war.
Kidnapped by the enemy and her arms tied to the back hooves of two horses. Forced to stare blankly ahead as her husband-- her king-- raced towards her with all of his horses and men, but he was too late. His messengers had found her too late. Even she knew she wouldn't hold her lover again.
As the tears flooded her eyes and the world went dark, all she could hear was his scream of desperation from the other side of the battleground as she was torn apart in front of him.

Every year at the same time the earth quakes in the region she died and the skies darken above as if his soul is still crying out for her.
Finally as the two civilizations ended the war and made a treaty on the same soils her blood was spilled the darkened skies turned light once more and the lands ceased their relentless rumbling.
True peace was found, both for their tormented souls and the haunted lands.
