When I was a kid, I remember helping my dad take the wheels off a tractor, and then that was mounted to a sugar beet. You have to donate a tractor, but then it became a self-propelled beet harvester.

Phil we used to throw a 5gallon drum of water over the blets before starting them dry. Stop them from twisting.

Oh the joy of pulling into a field with a barn dry machine compared to an outdoor good luck with the pulling

Looking forward to the video of the machinery moving into the new yard, should be very satisfying to see the decluttering

We had identical Beet Harvester went well for a few years, we ended up connecting the hopper tip direct onto the tractor spools, it meant you could slow the oil flow to harvester hydraulics so it takes out the snatching of the drawbar and the disc on the front and also leaves you a spare leaver on the control box in case a cable breaks.Nice to have your own harvester we are now relying on a contractor.Good luck with your harvesting, great channel.

Great video. Good that all your hard work and dedication in the cold, damp and darkness last year getting the harvester working is paying off… you put some effort into resurrecting that machine. Keep up the good work.

when you saw the harvester pulled out of the hedge you would never believe to see it work as well. Well done on the persistence.

Pretty good considering the amount of weeds around the beet.
