Samsung Galaxy Note II Review

Lisa Gade reviews the Samsung Galaxy Note II Android smartphone, or "phablet". In this video we take a look at the Sprint version, though each major US carrier will offer this phone with nearly identical software and hardware. The Note II has a 5.5", 1280 x 720 Super AMOLED HD display, a powerful 1.6GHz Samsung Exynos quad core CPU and Samsung's S Pen that works with the active Wacom digitizer on the phone. It has an 8MP rear camera that's essentially the same as the Samsaun Galaxy S III's camera, dual band WIFi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, NFC, 2 gigs of RAM, 16 gigs of internal storage and a microSD card slot.

Our brightness setting is relative to ambient available light. If the screen brightness is set too high, it overexposes on camera.

Lisa, ANOTHER GREAT review! I paid a premium and purchased my Note II from overseas last month, and registered it with my local AT&T store on my plan. This was FINALLY the device that got me to leave the iOS series of phones (I had all iPhones through the 4S) - and I am so glad that I did this switch! Cool product. I just bought the 10.1 Notepad 2, so this is a natural combo for me. T-mobile had it already, but I may just wait for Verizon. I have a company-supplied iPhone but want my own device to better control privacy. This is almost certainly going to be it, and the review only helped with the decision, for which I'm grateful. Great review Lisa, I watch most of your videos and really like the way you report. Useful info for real-world users. Cool stuff!

Nice review Lisa. One of the features in the Note 2 that helped me choose it over the Galaxy S3 was that its display, though amoled, does not have the pentile pixel arrangement. IMO it is a huge improvement over the S3 and Galaxy Nexus displays.

this phone is ideal due to the fact that 90%+ people use their phones for texting, watching videos, and playing games, so this is an ideal phone for 90%+ of the folks around the world. mine is on its way, can't wait. great review Lisa !

Maybe a tad jealous but I love my Galaxy S III LOL, excellent review Lisa, very thorough and informative. Samsung is my favorite mobile device company and the Galaxy Note II looks stellar

When you're writing with the pen, does it make a lot of the tapping noise? That's sort of an issue with some other tablet/pen combos - that it's much more noisy and distracting than a pen and paper would be.
