I love how they went nuts on the blood, severed head, & drew the transformations in the most grotesque ways possible for no reason & then censored Scarlets' dead body like THAT would've been too far

I've had the book for about a week now, and to be honest I love the details on Peril's scales. Instead of always being gold like in Book 1 or always red in later books, its gold if she's feeling emotional, like in the book, to show hotter fire, and red if Peril's chilling. I LOVED the variation.

I just sat down and over about 9 hours read the whole thing with my little book light and some movie soundtracks and loved it so much! Your review is spot on, the character art and expressions have notably improved and the backgrounds are amazing! This particular story is also a really good one, and the ending OH MY! So dramatic! I always thought what would this look like if fully movied out with cinematography and timing and weather and whatnot... This Graphic Novel does a fabulous job letting the turn of the page reveal the big moments! (Even if we know they are coming because we love the books so much already!) I may in fact go back and listen to the audiobook for this one again just to really experience it all over again with a new visual library from the graphic novel in my head...

Your totally also right about the abundance of text bubbles to really adapt the novels well! It helps a lot! I give it, 3 Moons! 🌒🌗🌕

this graphic novel made me even more excited for the darkstalker one. last night O stayed up reading all of it. the fight scene was insane. and Cliff IS EVEN MORE CUTE THEN I THOUGHT. I also love how chameleon looks in the graphic novel

I got this one for Christmas and finally finished it!
It was BEAUTIFUL!
All through it I kept thinking how amazing the expressions were!
I loved how in the fight scene the rain lines match through all the panels most of the time! It was just a nice detail that pulled it together more I think.
And I LOVED the way the transformations were done in this one!
Page 94 is probably my favorite! It just SCREAMS what is happening so well!
