Module 6 - Probability (part II)
Показать описание
The goal of these sessions is to learn the concept of probability as the foundation upon which inferential statistics is built; specifically, the relationships between samples and populations are usually defined in terms of probability. By knowing the makeup of a population it is possible to determine the probability of obtaining specific samples. In this way, probability gives us a connection between populations and samples. Once we have probability rules established between populations and samples, we can simply reverse those rules to allow us to move from samples to populations; using our sample data to infer answers to questions we have about populations.
