I can see the value in TypeScript, but mobile development is the only reason I would use anything other than vanilla JS and a simple templating library like Lit. Everything in the node ecosystem quickly becomes technical debt and deprecated and you spend half your time fighting with errors in dependencies and build tool chains. I would take a data type mismatch at runtime any day if I can write browser native code and avoid that mess.
