I feel bad for the legacy actors having their careers damaged by bad creative decisions made by corporate committees. I also feel bad for the new actors who took on dream roles only to find their careers hamstrung by being associated with the schlock they’re forced to read. Disney destroys everything they touch.

have you guys seen the panel Ian McDiarmid did where he said his favorite movie was revenge of the Sith? He completely blew Disney out of the water lol

Props to Morrison. He seems to be a solid guy. As for "biting the hand that feeds him", does anyone think Disney really had any plans to bring him back?

If I was a male actor or voice actor who played an iconic character in Star Wars before Disney took over I would absolutely not come back to play my character because most likely Disney will absolutely destroy that character to the point that they’re unrecognizable.

Every time I look at Twitter, it leaves me full of scorn and rage, especially when lickspittles like "Around the Galaxy" who worships the altar of Disney and gets rewarded by them in the shape of freebies and advanced views. I think I need to stay away from Twitter.

The Mandalorian should’ve always been about Boba Fett. Season 1 Din Djarrin was basically Boba Fett from the EU books and OT. Din’s character feels aimless in season 3 because it was never his story to begin with. Can you imagine Temuera Morrison interacting with Baby Yoda? And one of my biggest worries with Mando seasons was the antagonist being the Empire yet again in Star Wars. There are so many more interesting antagonists out there from the EU like bringing in Prince Xizor from Shadows of the Empire, I could see Xizor taking over Crimson Dawn and usurping Q’uira and trying to take control over the criminal underworld in a void left by Jabba the Hutt’s demise. Fett’s story could’ve been about him trying to resume his career bounty hunting but going through a redemption arc when he encounters Baby Yoda, and slowly building up to Fett seizing control of Jabba’s palace, and battling Xizor in a struggle for power in the criminal underworld. Would’ve been interesting to follow stories surrounding the events of Thrawn’s rise to power. Instead of Cad Bane, Durge could’ve been added to canon and acted as Fett’s rival, a monstrous bounty hunter who hates the Mandalorians. Fett and Solo and Luke Skywalker could confront eachother and make peace with Luke recognizing Baby Yoda’s talent in the force, and Fett’s story could be tied into Bo Katan’s restoring glory to the Mandalorians but in a twist of events, Fett claims the darksaber and rides the Mythosaur and becomes the new Mandalore left with a choice to embrace his Mandalorian heritage or become the crime boss in the Underworld. They could even leave the Tusken arc in Fett’s story after the battle of Carkoon. So many stories, so much potential. But instead Boba Fett has been reduced to Bantha Fett *Like a Bantha* while Fennec makes all his decisions for him, and Din Djarrin acts as his stand-in and plays out as an aimless character in the end…

He wasn't wrong. Show was book of Boba Fett but he was a secondary character to Finnic and Mando. If i had been in his place I'd have used a lot more four and six letter words. Honestly at this point the best thing that could happen to his career is if he never works with Lucasfilm again.

Kathleen Kennedy could fuck up a peanut butter sandwich. "People are expecting peanut butter. But, what IF we replace the peanut butter with mayonnaise but still call it peanut butter?"

"Do better, son." should apply to LF as well

The comment you showed from the last person should be reason enough to bring back gatekeeping. It’s “fans” like these, that is the reason Star Wars is the way it is and failing. These “fans” don’t know Star Wars, don’t care about Star Wars, they just started liking it because it became popular and don’t truly love Star Wars. They like the idea of Star Wars, and they like that they can get “likes” on twitter by acting like they’re a fan. Bring back gatekeeping, so we can have good nerd culture again. I hate fake fans.

If there's anything I learned from celebration, it's that male characters are being left in the dust, especially legacy ones.

This guy was betrayed by the Boba Fett series.

He got neutered, kept taking his helmet off, got terrible lines, got shown up by fennel, Mando and ground in his own show😢😢😢

Here's the problem with Disney Star Wars. They find something the fans want, and instead of giving it to them (making bank in the process), they destroy it! Since Disney has done this multiple times and has Luke crossed out I know they only want to destroy what we love.

That was Boba Fett speaking, not Temuera Morrison. He is a very playful and comedic person. His response in character.

The Boba Fett show stopped making sense the second The Mandalorian aired. The Mandalorian show should've starred Boba Fett, but didn't. Instead, they decided to make a carbon-copy of Boba and call him by another name. As such, even the badass CQ Boba Fett we got in The Mandalorian doesn't quite line up with his character from Legends canon. When Book of Boba came along and downgraded him from badass to laughingstock, well, that was the end of Boba Fett. Temuera Morrison has probably realised this and is trying to take the news with a bit of humour.

Yes. Din Djarin was given many of Boba Fett's skills from the beginning. When Boba Fett appeared in chapter 14, Temuera Morrison used is own fighting style to charge down the hill on a take one try. Like Bruce Lee's Cato, one take was all it took. Kathleen Kennedy's written team made up the excuse that Din Djarin and Boba Fett are the too similar. Actually Jon Favreau made certain to write Boba Fett and Din Djarin as badass different aspects of the original Boba Fett. Both guys can share the screen and look fantastic. The writers need to back them up. The Mandalorian needs to be as awesome as Season 1 and 2. The Book Of Boba Fett needs to be Temuera being a pro fighter on missions. Being the daimeo with a large cartel so Din Djarin could ask for help on the Outer Rim did not mean Boba Fett needs to retire from Bounty Huntering. Both characters are to young to slow down. Chapter 16 had Luke Skywalker and Boba Fett return and both it amazing!!! That is the Star Wars we love Disney and Lucasfilm. Kathleen Kennedy watered-down Star Wars is Not The Way.

It's a shame as Disney had a golden goose handed to them, but they've driven it into the ground. Fett's return should have been far better and Temuera knew it too.

I just watched the recent panel you did with WDW Pro, VR and others.
What you laid out in this video is even further proof for me that BOBF was compromised by KK via the "Mods"; they were WAAYYY out of place and they absolutely derailed the entire show. Boba is also a "Legacy" character and a STRONG male presence, both of which are anathema to KK and her ilk. I agree with Temuera, he got screwed, by none other than KK.
