I would wrather use a red onion and wrap it in plastic wrap. Aluminum foil not good for brain. Causes brain damage. I never used it again when I found that out. I have wrapped feet in plastic wrap with red onion more better. Definitely helps with inflammation

Before I saw this video I have done this to one of my fingers that has bad arthritis. My finger pain would get worse while holding my cell phone. Aluminum foil wrap on that finger stops the pain.

I wonder if Coppeer foil would work better, because of the fact that copper is a good conductor of electricty. To get copper foil, put a couple houndred pennys on a railroad tract and have the train run over them. "caution" get out of the trains way! or you wont need the foil!
