There’s a lot to admire about the DC25. It’s an all-electric 26ft sportsboat with a petrol-rivaling top speed of 32 knots and a decent range – DutchCraft claims to have got 42nm out of it at a constant 32 knots. Hugo shows us around...

Filmed in January 2020 at the Dusseldorf Boat Show.

That boat has got a complete and utterly hillarious pricetag

Perfect tender for a superyacht. I wonder if they make smaller ones.

Just looked— this is their small boat.

I suspect the fold down canopy is actually for storage. How would you otherwise get into the helm area considering there is a seat and frame in your way? Very simplistic but, clever design. I like the are in the bow that folds down for easy access onto a beach for example

Man that bow just seems like begging for problems.

This is a very cool little craft. I didn't want to like it, because I love noisy engines; I can't deny how cool this thing is. How has it been recieved in the market?

I like those reviews, but in my opinion that boat is nowhere near clever design. Has anyone noticed is impossible to grab top of steering wheel after dropping dow roof?

If it had solar it would be so much better

Honestly that obstructive and ugly steelworks for the roof mechanism looks like something from the industrial revolution. Awful

OMFG give it a rest, if you can't swim to shore don't get on this

What anoys me with this boat is firstly you're basicly getting a hull with battery, engine, ways to control engine and steering.
The cannopy when out down limits the ability to use the enginecontroller and wheel.
The seating is horrendous. And the pricetag is off the charts compared to other manufacturers(electric as well). The only way to charge it is by a normal shoreconnection. Have they not learned anything from the carmanufacturers?
It's way too basic, and has features that limit the useage of the boat. for the pricetag and abilities i would say choose another boat.

This one takes the word “niche” to a whole other level of “what on Earth do I need one of these for?”

Early adopters apply here, but think long and hard if you want to travel from just one end of the Solent to the other. For that it’s completely unsuitable, inappropriate range and a dropping bow door that might turn heads in the Bay of Naples, but in Priory Bay (well worth a Google on the eastern end of the Isle of Wight) you will be chopped up by any number of families wielding a 6.0m RIB with desire to get on the beach that resembles that of a D Day landing craft.

Most show boats are designed to draw interest and this boat is no different. Come back in 10 years with number of hulls sold and see whether it’s become an industry leader in the electric boat field....
