You showed that this Tool Aid 23970 In-Line Spark Checker Kit can be used to test the spark plug, too, by connecting the spark plug threaded end to ground. I want this Kit to test small engines of various sizes, both 2-Stroke and 4-Stroke. I'll make a dedicated grounding cord from heavy wire with wide-grip, wide-jaw alligator clips on both ends. I believe the brightness of the light will also indicate the strength of the spark when used with the engine running, as compared to a known good system. Another YouTuber covered the Kit with Induction Coil testing and wiring adapters. He had that Kit and this one with Amazon links, but no affiliate store, so I'm buying from your link to let you benefit from my purchase. The box in your link looks to be cardboard, not plastic, but the contents can still be stored in it to keep them together and safe enough. 2½ years later, it's $24.27 with 45% off. That's surprising after Covid and all the Corporate Greed that's still raging. I wonder if the manufacturer will warranty the contents for the same 8 years, but I hope I don't have to find out because of using your tips to make them last longer. I won't be using it that much anyway. I looked at your Compression Testers, but don't need one that good. BTW, I couldn't find your Amazon store by searching your YT name. I see the tag is nutsnboltswit, but couldn't find your store with all kinds of attempts. I watched the video with your favorite tools to find the 3-piece link with a Compression Tester was no longer good, then searched for the Compression Tester by name to find that it's $105. I'm not a Pro and only need these things as a homeowner DIYing what I can, so I don't need Pro devices.

The weak point in the S&G aka Toolaid spark tester kit is the extended adapter for COP always breaks inside....

Great looking tool, oh yeah i have one.. just have to be careful with bulb style, i got set by the light flashing but a weak coil on a no start, very rare, but obviously it happened to me. still a great quick check used them for years . Thanks for the video!!

I lost the wire to my glass spark tester, can I use a spark plug wire in it's place ?
