As the world strives to cut greenhouse gas emissions and limit climate change, it is crucial to track progress towards globally agreed climate goals. For a decade, UNEP’s Emissions Gap Report has compared where greenhouse gas emissions are heading against where they need to be, and highlighted the best ways to close the gap. Are we meeting goals of the Paris Climate Agreement?

I've been seeing comments everywhere that say "I will be sure to waste energy and have more emissions." Or, something along the lines of that. Please stop. I like to take this topic very seriously and I support what UNEP is doing. Making people more aware about the climate crisis. If you respond to this comment saying "don't give people false hopes" or "You're making the emissions rise by typing this" or saying anything like that? I don't care. I will continue to support this group. I will continue to support groups that make more people aware about this problem, or doing something to help curb this problem. I am willing to do whatever it'll take to stop this global problem.

I wonder how many "climate fighters" out there in the western world actually realize what a sustainable way of life would look like for their way of life.

I dont eat meat, I dont drive/own a car and I havent traveled by air since 2004. I rarely buy new cloths; pretty much only when my current need replacements due to wear and tear and I try to recycle as much as I can of my household but I live in Sweden, the rich part of the west. Even though all my efforts, Im pretty sure I dont live a sustainable life from a CO2-emission point of view. I dont think people in the west generally understands how far above a sustainable way of life we live here. To achieve that, we have to give up so much of our every day luxury and comforts.

We can blame our politicians, the people in power, all day long, but I wonder how many will support the politicians that actually propose real change. We all saw the rapid growth of the right wing nationalism that hit EU (the world?) during the refugee crisis. The largest political party in Sweden right now might be the Swedish democrats, an anti-refugee/immigration conservative nationalistic party who was considered pure racists just 20 years ago. I think the same will happen with the climate crisis. As soon as the average Joe realizes he will have to stop eat red meat and give up his yearly vacation to Thailand, the discontent will start to grow.

A one minute vid = excellent. So many vids and their makers seem to drone on little realising brevity and to the point is required; I don't know about others but I just haven't got time to watch someone drone on for fifteen minutes when theres so much else and things to do each day, incidentally all my washing is by hand, no tumble drier, a washing line and indoors bamboo pole do all I require. My laundered shirts draw compliments! back to my point, condensed punchy presentations / youtubing, on reflection lets say the material could be punched out verbally at say five mins max. Also, a 'take-home' fast paced downloadable one page document / precis that could be printed off would also be a step forward, a sheet of A4 that I can take with me to re-read when I've a minute later on in the day; handy for storage and retrieval later. I am not 1005 taken with everything digital, paper still has something superior to offer.... ever tried pencilling notes onto a screen ! At first it may seem 'manic' to make my desired type of presentation but in time ppl will thank me for it. Maybe term it 'fast-paced) FP presentations.

It is unfortunate that there are only two commenters (now three). The video was good but not share worth - why? Because a normal person could not read the presented information let alone absorb what was going on in the video. Slow it down...the message is important...no point losing the audience simply because you are trying to fit a lot of information into an arbitrary time slot.

What will going to happen after 50% of Humanity was gone? Children will be born, know nothing but full bellies, unmelted ice, clear skies, clear blue waters, thriving ecosystems, green grass, growing trees, unprecedented decrease of carbon and unspoilt soil, it will be a paradise.

Earth is like most planets, too many mouths and nowhere left to go around. When we are facing extinction, i offered a solution: Mitigating half of humanity. But random, dispassionate fair to rich and poor alike, they'll call me a madman.

It's a simple calculus, planet earth is finite, its resources finite. If Humanity was left unchecked, Humanity along with all life on earth will cease to exist, it needs correction
