Walking St Dunstan in the East - a secret spot in the City of London, tranquil and mysterious with falling snow. The church of St Dunstan was originally built in 1100. It survived the Great Fire of London in 1666 but was badly damaged - and later restored. The new tower that you see in this walk is based on the designs of Sir Christopher Wren, a famous English architect, known for his magnificent St Paul's Cathedral of London. The church was bombed during World War II and later turned into a public park and a reminder of the impact that the Blitz had on London and its citizens. Stroll through St Dunstan, look at its walls overgrown with ivy, and pass by people visiting this secret London landmark - to admire, or to chat with a friend. Enjoy!
