In terms of the edition it self, that content is avaliable for all PS3 copies, therefor it's not part of the limited edition

actually it was. it was made as an exclusive launch title for ps3 but microsoft paid a lot of money for it and inturn it was released for xbox a month later and for pc 5 months later

No i was say they ported Ac 1, 2 and Brotherhood from xbox to other platforms (ps3, PC).Not kind of exclusiv game for xbox or ps3.

I'm actually getting the Amazon Encyclopedia Edition. As much I would love the statue, belt buckle and such, the encyclopedia edition is a bit cheaper has the new AC Encyclopedia 2nd Edition which will have way more info than the notebook and it comes with an AC graphic novel. It was a tough choice, but a book of lore is really more my style than extra physical items that will sit on my shelf.

I read somewhere that this game will be the best starting place for new players because of the new story and gameplay. Also there is a "previously on AC1-Revalations" type video that most likely plays before the game to fill you in. So I would start out with AC3. Safety and peace be upon you, assassin!

I just thought of a good marketing strategy. If you buy the fancy shmancy super special editions you get the game like a week early. They would sell way more super editions then.

They didn't go to a store to buy it. Their journalists, they get early copies to allow them to complete the game write up a review for it. Games companies decide who out of the journalists get the early copies though hence the problem with a lot of guys being biased so they can get an early copy. I'm not accusing IGN of anything that's just the facts that it does happen and can happen.

That is because websites like IGN, Gamespot and all have to review the game before the day of its release..they have to review not only the game itself but all the special editions as well and whatever is included in those..that's why they get it earlier and we get it on the day of release..

I wish all these special edition figures were sold separately I would totally start a collection...I have the one from Halo Reach but I really want this, the Skyrim dragon one and the Darth Malgus figure from The Old Republic.

I think if you buy the limited edition in Britain you should get the union jack with the AC logo on it.

well, it's completely down to how much you value an extra hour of side missions in comparison to superior graphics.
