I'm sure they'll have an impact on Amazon and eBay, but end them highly unlikely. Baba will simple give people another avenue to buy/sell on the web making the market more competitive, which will reduce AMZN and EBAY profits of course. But Amazon at least has a large pile of cash reserves to weather the storm and rethink their marketing strategies; I'm not sure of cash reserves eBay does or does not have. I'll think their stocks will drop in value short term, but start to recover some time next year. I guess we'll see soon enough won't we?
