Glad you clarified because I was like WTF. Blueberries and bananas are my main combo in smoothies - it's also nice to know about the cinnamon because I always add 1/2 tsp as well as a few drops of caramel extract for flavor.

My smoothies are now banana free, and honestly, I like them more now! I don't know if the science is good enough to be generalized, however I'm glad it inspired me to try to make a change that turned out to be good for me!

Love bananas and blueberries in your oatmeal? Add chopped banana to oatmeal during cooking phase, the heat stops the ppo activity as alluded to in this video. Experiment, I add banana during last 30 seconds in microwave, stir in, heat another 30 secs, the banana doesn't dissolve, just softens, delicious.

Disinformation … you are skimming over the science of the paper.

Fruits that turn brown when exposed to air, in particular bananas, have an enzyme in them that breaks down some of the antioxidants founds in berries. You can destroy this enzyme by cooking the banana before adding it to the smoothies, or you can use something like mango which doesn’t have this enzyme.

Dr Gregor has a much shorter video on this, which has more information than your video.
