Thank you for this explanation. So basically, DAC wants us to spend $1000 on their over-priced DP's so we can "win" a $50 coupon (since you need 10 cards just for that one) - and there's no telling how many paintings you need to buy to get that exact number of each card... or 2 black ones. I mean it's great for those that are addicted to DAC paintings and buy a LOT from them already. I have many kits I've purchased from them over the years, but I have no plans to go nuts and buy a ton from them in hopes of a little coupon in the end. I do very much appreciate you taking the time and effort to explain this to us!

Well, I certainly will not be cashing in on groups of cards. I've only purchased 26 kits over 3 years and don't expect to go hog wild for collecting many more to get cards. With that said, the cards themselves are nice, but it's really just a new marketing strategy on the part of DAC to up sales. I see birthday points have fallen from 1500 to 500 now too, lots of changes coming it seems.

Really appreciate this video. It completely removed any sense of fomo I might have had over these cards. Like, if I gotta spend a minimum of $900 just to get a $400 custom kit, I might as well buy two custom kits myself! 😂 I think I'll just hold on to them if/when I get them. If I happen to get a fancy card, I might just give someone else the code. 😊

It's weird cause when I went onto the website about the trading cards it says 5 bronze so idk if they changed that or something. Thank you for this cause I just got one and was trying to figure out what colour my card was.

I understand that this is a bonus on top of the rewards already earned from purchases, however, it looks really difficult to even reach the lowest tier reward. With lowering other bonus points (as another commenter noted above re: birthday points are far fewer than they used to be) it will cost a lot more money to reach even the $50 reward level. Minimum purchase is at least 9 canvases at $50-80 each, but the likelihood someone is lucky enough to get the exact combo needed in just 9-10 purchases feels unreachable. I wish there was a way to stack lower value cards to equal higher value ones. (i.e., if you collect 10 bronze cards they equal the same as 2 silver or 1 gold.) If someone purchases but isn’t lucky enough to ever get a gold card, they cannot take advantage of the bonus.

Also, I do have a bronze card and tried the scan of the QR code but it did not work due to the shiny reflective coating. I do appreciate your photos of the different levels for verification! Thank you.

I think I heard u say that kits released in July would have the cards. I have a couple that were released in August that didn’t have any. But I did get a big restock DP that had 5 cards

The treasure quest rewards program is an interesting concept but imho unnecessarily complicated. Also the gold and bronze cards look too similar, I can imagine some poor customer trying to redeem their "gold" cards and then become frustrated that their combination isn't working. It will probably be awhile before I have my first card, I don't even have a kit with the new pen and tray yet. PS I love that you printed out the screenshots, that's totally something I would do 🤣
