People criticize Corey's voice in this album for being more experimental, but honestly gotta say that style fits better for Vermillion, like it a lot more with these raw screams than replacing it with growls like he does nowadays

It's wild that slipknot's creepiest set of masks are the ones that are just cast of their faces but tinted some gross green color.

In response to the whereabout of the concert: this is from the 2004 TMF-awards in Antwerp, Belgium. TMF used to be a MTV-like channel in the Netherlands and Belgium and held an annually music awardsshow in both countries. But this was meant for mainstream acts, hence the lame crowd. I guess Slipknot just got too big and was forced to play it by RR (I think it was Corey who referred to it in an interview a couple of months ago). Slipknot happened to be on tour with Slayer at the time and they played this show on a day off in between gigs in Rotterdam and Antwerp. Btw, they also played Duality. Look it up, great performance as well, very tight!

I'm such a fan of these masks, and just this era as a whole. Self-Titled and Iowa Corey Masks will always be my favorites, but all of these are close.

Those are masks. They are Death Masks. They usually wear them when they are performing some of the songs from Volume 3: The Subliminal Verses.
