I took my basic at Parris Island 1972 and calling Cadence, my drill instructors would have put this one to shame.

My dad was a 22 year Marine, joined at 16, Paris Island, on to Korea, Vietnam. Not until the internet and YouTube a few years ago did I realize how tough Marine boot camp was. My dad was very humble and did not talk a whole lot about it, tough men and he was a great dad and family man, I sure miss him!
