BATAK Pro reaction test, 152 in 60 seconds

The BATAK Pro machine is designed to improve ones hand-eye coordination and reaction speed. The actual approved world record is 114 in 60 seconds which is held by F1 driver Jenson Button. This record, however, has unofficially been broken many times. A few notable scores on the BATAK Pro 60 seconds reaction test are:
138 Fernando Alonso (F1 driver)
138 Heikki Kovalainen (F1 driver)
136 Jenson Button (F1 driver)

BATAK Duel is the iPhone/iPod touch version of BATAK and is available in the iTunes App Store.

I saw a few consistent patterns. That starts to become more prediction than reaction. Still impressive

@joeweissbach Thanks for your comments. While I do not know the sequence, the machine is not completely random either. The buttons do not have an equal chance to light up after one another. Hence, the quickness is partly due to anticipation, which is why I sometimes hover over a button before it lights up.

I believe Fernando Alonso played the "Batak 50 Timed Targets" (hit 50 targets as quick as you can) and completed it in 21.9 seconds. This is different from the "Batak Accumulator 60 seconds" (hit as many targets in 60 seconds) which is the Batak game I play in the video. In any case, 50 targets in 21.9 seconds is a great score!

You are right, I definitely make a couple of miss hits, but without a fast reaction it will be very hard to get above 100 in 60 seconds

The word BATAK comes from blending the words BAT and ATTACK together. The first BATAK machines were played with a special racquet, so in a way, one had to use a BAT to ATTACK the targets. For more info Google: whatisbatak

Notice her never moves his head, Alawys eyes forward, good leg movement and using prehiferal vision. Its not neccecarily just reaction test. I have probably the worst reaction time of most people where I work, but still hold the 30 second record :p

Great score! I'm not sure if F1 drivers are a good benchmark, though. Their reactions are super-fast but mostly through feel, not sight. They also don't need this much hand-eye coordination because their hands never leave the steering wheel.
I think a table tennis player would naturally have a higher score than an F1 driver.

The game is setup is that you spend precious time not gaining any points when you hit wrong targets. Your suggestion would provide an interesting spin to game and make it even more challenging.

COOL! I just watched the young female British hopeful F1 driver on this (BBC), saw Co -Ordination transfer on the machine and searched... This is probably three times and at some points four or five times faster. Incredible in parts.

i wouldn't consider this a "reaction" test since you know the sequence or pattern pretty well. During parts, your hand is hovering over the button before it even lights up. At the very end, your hand reaches for the bottom one but it never lit up before the game ended. Still pretty quick with those long arms though

@Kretenus101 That would provide an interesting spin to the game. Currently, however, the way the game is setup is that you loose precious time when you press the wrong button
