VRChat MEGA Update - Text Chat, Personal Mirrors, and More!

Since the fallout of EAC, VRChat has been cranking out tons of updates with features that many users have been asking for! The amount of features added over the last two updates is quite staggering, this video will go over every notable feature that has been added.

After the whole EAC debacle it's been hard to go back to VRC without mods, but at least they are finally implementing these features after so long. I really appreciate the vid explaining all the new features.

Honestly surprised to see they're actually following through on adding the QoL additions we've reached and often needed for so long. Just sad it took such a backlash and outrage to finally get it. This is a massive list of improvements though, and I'll be giving it another shot thanks to this video. Pogchamp.

As a desktop player, I'm excited that we finally got a photo camera option. Hopefully, we can get a stream camera option in the future, as the photo camera is kinda limited if you wanna make content.

I honestly wish they would implement some sort of DM system. Sometimes you meet likable people, but due to different timezones or circumstances you never run into them again. Being able to leave a message to at least stay in touch would be a great addition. I know, you could ask for someone's discord or other socials after talking for a while but that can come off as being pushy by meeting upon the first time.

I personally really dig the personal mirrors. It helps me actually engage with people in other places than the mirror, which is great while im at say the black cat or drinking time. I like watching how my avatar moves and with the mirror i can, AND talk to other people!

Im not a big fan of what EAC did to the modding community but i will say im glad that they are implementing these features

I'm very happy with these quality of life additions and honesty am genuinely surprised they're actually adding all of this stuff as quickly as they are. My favorite addition definitely has to be the flying camera ^^

Honestly it is baffling that it took this kind of nuclear backlash to finally implement these features, which the community has been asking for for years now.

These feats are great, i agree. It's just that EAC still added very annoying bugs. Almost every time i play, it randomly removes my uploaded avatars, locks me in the world by quote 'not allowing me to go there', and forces me to restart. Sometimes it blocks my Mic input too. I know its EAC since every time i restart after something happens, i get a popup window saying 'Security violation detected.
I want to like all these new things- but the scars are still there.

I've stopped playing vrchat and I dont play on ever returning but its nice to see something is getting done with the game and its not just dying out

Absolutely fantastic video covering these features! Very handy coverage that let me in on a quite a few things I've been missing.

Very much looking forward to the avatar haptic feedback in the future, I miss the old mod that let me feel when I was petting people!

If they just did this the other way around by adding all the QoL stuff that were mods and THEN adding EAC there would've been far less backlash.

But oh well, at least they're actually adding the QoL finally.

For the fly camera, i think that there should be an ability to toggle no-clip on it

I took about a 6 month break from VRChat and I'm so excited to use personal mirrors and being able to just lay down but be upright in worlds. I'm actually gonna start working on a new avatar now! This is gonna be fun!
