today I show the process I use to make pull requests to projects! I walk through the git commandline and make a small typo fix to an open source project!

==========

I won't ask for subscriptions / likes / comments in videos but it really helps the channel. If you have any suggestions or things you'd like to see please comment below!

I haven't found a video as nice as this that also shows how to keep your branch updated with master, especially if you need to fix a conflict while rebasing etc. Please consider this a topic suggestion :)

I realize how old this video is at this point but… there was a second "ellipses" typo. The first match for "ellip" shows the word typed as "ellipsis".

also i'm watching this again 4 years after it was posted because i was making my first ever pull request. didn't realize i needed a fork first!

It is a good idea to explain what a fork is to start. Otherwise, it is just click this and type that.
