Swedish Torch aka Swedish Fire Log, Swedish Candle

In this video, we were on a camping trip in the desert and didn't have a Swedish Torch already made. Since the design of the Swedish Torch is simple, we were able to make an improvised one out of materials that we brought with us and from materials found at the locale.

The Swedish Torch is basically a ring of wood with a hollow core and an air inlet towards the bottom of the assembly. When ready to use, the hollow core is filled with tinder and lit. The burning action causes air to be sucked in through the air inlet, creating a hot fire. Basically, it's a rocket stove made out of wood.
