CNT-4731: Net-Centric Computing
This module will cover a broad range of material related to the “narrow waist” of the Internet: the network layer. We will cover basics such as structure of different versions of the IP protocol, including addressing schemes and how IP packets are being processed by the routers. We will also learn the concept of routing protocols, the algorithms behind them, as well as go over several realizations of the routing protocols, including RIP, OSPF, BGP. In addition, we will learn what is IP multicast and how it was envisioned and how is being used today.
