Show's over, get everyone and get the hell outta dodge. The usual panic of Pizza Time now turned smooth and confident.

I do not own the music. Pizza tower composers are Mr. Sauceman, ClascyJitto(Frostix) and POST ELVIS.
Pizza tower belongs to Tour De Pizza.

Come on, just buy the soundtrack!! You know you want it!

Look, I don't care how powerful you are or how much time is left on that clock, you ARE gonna play another round of Golf. And I better see a Primo Burg

I love how there's two ways you can interpret all the bosses following you.

First is that although they all made Peppino's life fucking miserable, they weren't the ones intentionally threatening his workplace, they were just in his way. So while he may hate them, he's not just gonna leave em to die.

And the second, all of these bosses just got their asses kicked, no, pummeled, by Peppino mere minutes ago. They know that if anyone is gonna make it out alive, it's gonna be him, so it's either follow the strongest or go down with the metaphorical ship.

Five minutes seems like a pretty generous time limit until you realize the path that you need to take is far longer than you thought.

The song that gives the feeling that you just saved the damn universe and you just saved your rundown pizzeria. This is the best game ever made

The fact that Peppino definitely wants nothing to do with any of the bosses he just thrashed within an inch of their life BUT helps them out anyway is… kind of really sweet??

Even though it’s also possible that they’re all just caught up in the wind funnel created by Peppino’s sheer SPEED as he skedaddles at Mach 10.

The great thing is, from the very start, it's pretty easy to notice that the tower is actually one huge level.
Not only the John blocks, the clocks, and the pizza cubes, but even at the very beginning of the game, you enter its door just as you would any other level. Plus, when exiting to the pause screen, it's even labeled as "exit level" and, while overall progress is saved, you still have to start at the very beginning of the tower when playing again. Just like a regular level. I think it's genius, honestly.

I'm dumb. I just realized it's called Bye Bye There because of the "Hello there!" sample in regular Pizza Time.

I think what makes this really special to me is that, if you were a true first time player like me, not even trying out the eggplant build or even the sage demos that started this entire journey, you'd most likely be a bumbling idiot at the start, even after the tutorial you'd be fumbling around crashing into every wall, getting stabbed, burnt, squashed and punted while you trip and fall through the first few levels...but as you ascend the tower, as the tower beats you down with everything it's got, you're only being molded by the obstacles in your path, understanding enemy behaviors, mastering basic movement and even learning more advanced techniques, be it via the pizza guides or through your own discovery, and it all surmounts to this. The final escape, the moment you destroy the last John, what would normally be a wave of fear blanketing your psyche is instead a wave of confidence, 5 floors of hell. 19 levels of torture, yet here you are, at the pinnacle of your potential. You've mastered the skills you were taught and learned a few more tricks along the way, the panic of the timer is all but gone. The tower no longer scares you. You are no longer a slave to fear. You made it to the top.

Now it's time to come back down.

That final boss and escape came out of NOWHERE. Fucking blew me away with how intense and incredible it was. Pizza Tower is an instant masterpiece indie classic.

God I LOVE how it starts building up the Pizza Time leitmotif here, just barely holding off on the drop so when it actually does it hits even harder.

…how did this not get the best indie game award?

Okay I love how if you look carefully, they are foreshadowing the escape sequence as you can spot various John Blocks placed throughout the lobbies which lets you know that getting out of this tower won't be a simple cutscene.

2:25 this part is quite sad because is telling you that you are about to end this awesome game, let's hope for a dlc or who knows maybe in a future a sequel

I remember thinking 5 minutes would be a piece of cake. I was in the room just before the Tower Lobby when I realized I had 30 SECONDS LEFT. I suddenly found some arcane future sight that let me path my way to the very end with zero bonks. And, with 4 seconds left on the clock, I finally exhaled…

After 60 hours
2 whole speedruns
A lot of crying quietly
And over 10, 000 unsolved murders in the bag
I finally managed to P rank every level
It was a wild ride, and to celebrate i P ranked this level even after doing it once before
It felt so awesome finally brushing everything off
This game is everything i wanted and more, its easily my favourite game of 2023 thus far and i cant wait to see any developments in the future

I think what would make this song even better than it already is, is if it contained the leitmotifs of the other bosses themes, like the background voices of pumpin hot stuff in the background or calzonified’s harmonica at certain points played at a diffrent speed, it would make the song really pop and make you remember that you have done so much to get here

Probably one of the best ways to integrate a level selection

4:29 the final act of the song cheering you on almost as soon as the 60 second mark hits on the clock. You’ve got to be close! COME

And then 4:43 hits and you realize it’s already over, you’re on your victory lap. That triumphant jazz out of nowhere feels like I’m flying through the Milky Way on an out of control spaceship toward my dreams. Best song in the game.
