Dont forget thanos in the movie had snapped his fingers twice, first time in the infinity war and the second time was revealed in end game when the remaining heroes went to steal the stones from there thanos to restore the vanished universe but thanos revealed that after he returned to the planet he stayed on he used the stones again to destroy them nearly almost killing him, he survived but thor took his advice from the first part of the two movies and aimed for the head

I don't think people realize just how powerful the infinity stones and Thanos were. Even if he didn't have the infinity stones, from who we've seen thusfar, I'm fairly certain Thanos could be any one of them in a 1v1 fight. Though I will say that the person that may have the best chance is Dr. Strange as magic is one of the most powerful forces in the universe. Hence why you saw him look worried when fighting against him.
