In this video I received the Antennas Direct ClearStream 4Max Indoor/Outdoor TV antenna. It runs between $130-$150 online and claims to pick up HD TV signals within 70 miles of the broadcast tower. How well does this antenna work and where would I recommend it?

Got this indoors on a wood pole that I can swivel.
Does a great job.
Love the high voice of the person who doesn’t want a big roof antenna.

I just purchased this antenna using the link on this site. I hope you get some kind of commission from this. You’ve been a great resource to so many of us. Much thanks!

Thank you Antenna Man for a great review of the ClearStream 4MAX. We won't hold it against you about retracting your true review of the Pingbingding antenna - your followers have a right to know the truth - you cannot receive signals 150-miles from the towers. If you notice at Walmart, which has this exact same antenna, they changed their mileage claim to 80-miles, which is still a stretch, but better than 150-miles. We appreciate your honestly with your followers and cannot wait to see your next review.

Purchased this antenna after watching 20 of your videos. I live 45 miles north of Boston and with this antenna fixed in place, I received 54 channels. Thanks for all the time you put into all the videos.

I've never smacked myself in the face with the door of a service truck. I've never told a lie, either. Haha! Keep up the good work, Tyler! I've lit-up an entire hotel with OTA broadcasts based on your recommendations. I'm in the Louisville, KY market.

I replaced the antenna that I'm not suppose to buy bc it didn't help at all. Maybe 10-13 channels so after watching your suggestions I tried the 4Max. I ended up with 120+ channels in my attic. Fantastic signal. Many are redundant Analog/Digital but phenomenal results. Thanks for your channel and your expertise on the subject, very helpful.
30 miles from stations, in North Carrollton Texas.

One of the few reliable antennas on the market.

I have this antenna, mounted outside - aimed towards my broadcast stations - and it works great.

Installed this antenna in my attic. Home is single story, stucco, with concrete roll tile roofing. Broadcast tower is approximately 40 miles away and is separated by a short mountain ridge. I installed it high up on a roof rafter for maximum indoor elevation. Picked up 98 digital channels without the use of a booster.
Very happy with this antenna.

I have this antenna, and it delivers! Has a very modern look and pulls in channels up to 60+ miles away. Full disclosure, I also have a booster.

I just got this one and put it on the roof. I got 65 channels. Idk if that's a lot, but I can say that's great

Great review. Thanks for the unbiased review. I have a ClearStream antenna like that one, but it is the smaller one that came with a stand. It works great in my apartment on the third floor. I live about 23 miles north of Seattle. I have a ton of trees and hills in the way, but no problem getting in the channels i want. I don't even have to put it in a window. I hadn't run across your awesome reviews before I had gone through several bad antennas, but sure wish I had it would of saved me quite a bit of money and time. Because of this review this bigger ClearStream antenna will be the next antenna I buy. It will mount easily to a wall with 3M command strips.

I have this antenna and boosted reception by mounting a rectangle piece of pet screen with 1/4” squares. It is not connected, just, mounted on the poles U bolt with fender washers. I made a wood block mount and drilled a precision hole in it with a foster bit. This block on a plywood base supports a pole that holds the antenna. This sits on the bedroom dresser and I can turn it with my hand in lieu of having a router. I use RG6 coax bought a Klein crimping tool and Klein connectors, and run 3 sets with a distribution amplifier. Thank you for tipping me off on quality cable. That was a game changer. I can pull in tv stations from Madison, WI from Rockford, IL. Love your channel!

I just installed this antenna in my attic. House has a roll-tiled roof. Transmission tower is 35 miles away. We picked up 98 channels and did not install a booster. 👌

I purchased this antenna. i also purchased a new TV as the house is new.
I needed to wait until I had a 15' pole to mount it on and all the RG6 connected in the interior so I simply ran an extra piece of RG6 through the window, connected it and laid the antenna up against the house on the ground. I was in hopes of getting one or two local LOS transmitters but was amazed to find I got all in my area!
I am impressed. Since then, it is mounted at 15' AGL and I get excellent reception of everything in a 60 mile radius along with a few at about 75 miles although conditions do have an effect on the long distance broadcasters and those are somewhat deflected. I can only imagine the capabilities if we had a bit of tropospheric ducting.
all in all, I am very surprised at the gain of this semi-omni directional antenna.
Very surprising.

Great review as always! I just purchased the ClearStream 4Max along with the Winegard LNA-200 Boost XT HDTV Preamplifier. I ended up using an older Channel Master CM-7777 Titan2 Amplifier for more of a boost to the signal. I am in the Fort Collins area of Colorado and pull signals from Denver, CO and also Cheyenne, WY off the rear of the antenna. I am getting great signals from as far away as 64 miles. Both VHF and UHF are great. One of the VHF channels suffers from Solar EMI. I added 3 ferrite chokes between the antenna and before the preamp. This seemed to help significantly with that channel. I tried an LTE filter but did not notice any difference so I removed it and got my 3db sacrifice back. Thanks for all the great information! I really enjoy your channel.

Installed this antenna this weekend. Pull in 40 channels with no issues in a heavily wooded area surrounded by ridges. Glad I got rid of the dish.

We installed this model today in our old Dish Satellite using the poll that was already there. We got 160 stations very well. The coaxial cables were still intact from Dish beautifully installed in the house. Thanks for your recommendation.

On Antenna Man's review, I got this one. It works very well on VHF as well as UHF and mostly eliminated my pixelation issues. A big improvement over my old Clearstream 2V. Only one issue: For indoor use, the antenna does not balance well on the base. Yes, I can secure the base but I'd like the antenna better if I didn't have to. A heavier base for better balance would be an improvement.
