A tribute to Close To You (2023)

The songs:
On My Way Back Home Again by Jim Ward
Pasttime Paradise by Patti Smith
Close To You is starring Elliot Page as an actual trans character in the film that is about what it means to be seen, and feeling invisible is part of many trans people's lives, because within the container culures that people live in, that despise the content, where the funeral matters more than the dead, the wedding more than love and the physical more than intellect, people tend to be occupied only with the superficial qualities and their own narratives in the mind. The physical transition allows the inner self to emerge and challenge them to help people penetrate these walls in order to enter something far more real. Thematically this is perhaps the most important film for humanity ever made in recent years, at a time when it is at risk of people losing it.
The poem at the beginning symbolizes one's multi-dimensionality that illustrates the depth of a human being, which of course includes multi-dimensionality of the biological sex itself.
This film might as well be a tribute to all trans people that ever existed throughout the history who have been carrying a potential to bring paradise into this world by challenging systems rooted in a duality that made one polarity wholly different to the opposite polarity, as men have done to women, as class has done to class, as nation has done to nation, which has blinded people to the deeper connections. This film is another attempt to transcend those walls.
Let me be an anarchist on this battlefield of life and tear down the walls that kept us divided on the inside and on the outside. I shall stand there when the tide is high and waters are rising, I shall stand there along with my trans brothers and sisters when the mother nature that violated common sense became the enemy to that dreary bog of sullen prejudice and muddy inertia and a friend to the misfits on the rainbow bridge over the great divide to become the multitudes instead of mere flesh squeezed into the numbers and digits, I shall stand there to become the mystery of the zero point coming in like a black hole to swallow the disintegrated matter and spit it out into infinite nothingness, I shall stand there when the world starts falling so I could touch the bottom and plant new seeds of life.
To be invisible in others' eyes can make people isolated without any human contact, this seems largely why many humans are disconnected from each other and relationships are falling apart, but when you see the invisible in others or yourself, you can bring it out into the physicality and share it, that is when gradually you are changing the world for others and yourself.
Multi-dimensionality is the saving grace of humanity, not because it comes from the light, but because it comes from the dark. Some people are willing to set themselves on fire just to be seen and make a difference, to bring invisible into visible can be painful, and it is going to be as long as the eyes of the mundane materialistic world do not see what is "real".
Delusion = De illusion, it is allowing you to step out of the Maya.
Learn to be 'delusional' if you wish to be true to who you are. This is the whole secret. The paradox of an ego is that it accuses someone of being delusional for not buying into its illusion, which often feeds materialism and the narcissistic false self, and then isolation, separation and eventual oppression by external and internal forces. Who you are is invisible until it is visible, until you bring it out into the physicality.
