When Soul Train ended, I wasn't watching it any more.

The artists were putting more uplifting Black consciousness rhetoric in their lyrics, and the music was still great! Don was only depending on his sponsors instead of building his own product brands that also brought in big money! Soul Train Film making and Soul Train Records would have been booming businesses!

Whatever has a beginning, must surely have an end. That's just the way it is.

Can't believe people traded that level of artistry for Rap. Goes to show how people adopt whatever the media feeds them, no matter if it's pure garbage.

SOUL TRAIN started out as a brilliant idea for a platform of some of the greatest Black RnB artists, bands and beautiful black dancers showing off their dance moves, stylish costumes from 1971 until 2000. That is where I believe that’s where SOUL TRAIN started losing its “black” platform besides Don stepping down from being the host. Whoever chose Shamar Moore as the guest host had to be out of their mind. I never cared for him because he was NOT BLACK ENOUGH!
The show started bringing in non black dancers and some of the dancers dressed like strippers. The last 5 years showed that the show was not going to last much longer. IMHO!💃💃💃🏆🎶🎶
