Wisconsin football needs to return to what made us great. Pound the rock. We are NOT a spread offense state. Our success was Alvarez, Bielema, and even Chryst recruiting our state's best players, especially the BIG BOYS, and turning them into mean blockers and hitters. This is why Gary Anderson was such a trash hire. We won for almost 30 years with small town boys along with the athletes we got from out of state. Now we are spread offense college #76, fighting for the same recruits as the other 75 schools. They aren't coming to Wisconsin. I know Navy, Army, and Air Force are military academies, but they have formula that works for them. I remember the last time Army tried to switch to spread offense, that coach was canned pretty quick. In Wisconsin, you take what works. I get it, transfer portal, blah blah blah, but you have a state that LOVES YOU. Our boys will come and play for you. Our boys love the Badgers in high school But if you keep on pretending we are below you, our culture needs to be changed for some reason, and you are brand instead of a coach (see Minnesota's coach), you'll be out of a job it truly seems like Fickell don't really care about that.

Pathetic, coaches were awful. That 4th down call probably the dumbest in all of football this weekend. Great 2nd half, ya the one where these guys are supposed to make the millions they are paid.

This dude isnt paying atention. Does anyone ever see him talking to Longo or players on the sideline? Never challenges, never calls a timeout, never talks it out. The commentators made FUN OF YOU on live TV...

I have been a season ticket holder since 1980. I miss the Jim Leonard type of smart aggressive defensive college football. I still do not have confidence in the current coaching staff, something is missing. With a week's time need to be able to thoroughly prepare for a game and with less time we need to smartly be able to foresee and make the correct adjustments at halftime in order to win as many games as we should. We need both, very good players and coaches that can teach and develop talent.

That 2nd half was trash. Did anyone notice the nonexistent sense of urgency in the 4th quarter. Run the play clock down to 3 seconds every play when we are on Offense and down 10 and then 17. WTF. Locke Sucks. He should transfer. I hate this. We don't even know how to run a hurry up offense. 4th down play call was F'n terrible. When you bunch up and run it never ever works. Spread them out and run from under center or QB sneak which is out of the equation in the gun. I am trying to stay patient but we seam to be dumb as hell.

I'm not going to judge him off of a year and a half without his type of players. Can't build a program with transfers. The 24' and 25' class can be a stepping stone. It's definitely frustrating for sure but the prior staff didn't leave him with much.

"If you don't block a guy." However, a RB gets a head start at the snap when the QBs under center whereas they have to wait for the snap to get to the QB before starting when in shotgun. The DE collapsed and got to the QB because of the extra time it takes to run power from shotgun.

I've seen no improvement from your first season to your second air raid Offense is not what you wanna, call you're offensive philosophy when you're coming into wisconsin, every Wisconsin fan knew you weren't going to make that fourth down, draw play before it happen. I'll give you one more season. Most likely, you're out the door

Like 80 defense snaps, the d was in the field for long . So many 3 and outs . 1st half looked great after that muff punt it went completely down hill

The offense couldn’t stay on the field. QB play was atrocious with less than 50% completions! Fickle lost me with his comment about going under center on 4th and 1. Why give the defense a chance to penetrate into the backfield? That’s on Longo and his scheme.

I gotta a lot of heat back when I suggested Chryst is better and it wasn't an upgrade hire at all. Fickell seems like a good guy but maybe Wisconsin should return him to the small pond they got him from. He might find Scott Frost somewhere in there when they do.

You went for it on 4th and 1 and handed the ball off to walker who is about as elusive as a fire hydrant.. you lost the game right there..

I don't like the coach saying that they couldn't make the block on a trap where the ends vacate the left to trap on the other side. I think it was a bad call on 4 and 1/2 yard.

Looks like the design was to leave the outside defender free, which he scrapped down the line and made the tackle. I would have liked to hear him own this call as the coaches bad, which it was.
