According to an IRR study in 2016, there were 15,545,000 people with jobs in South Africa while 17,094,331 people were receiving social grants.

One day Leader is a reality show to identify and develop young leaders between the ages of 18 and 25, while engaging the public and creating awareness around critical social and economic issues. For South Africa to reach its developmental goals, and address its many social issues, it needs strong leadership: not only now, but well into the future.
