Starsky & Hutch: The All-Action Genre Changer

This is my video about one of the favourite TV shows of my youth, Starsky & Hutch. I show you my DVD box set of the show and focus on one classic episode in particular, The Fix, from Season One. I make references to the cop shows that preceded it, such as Cannon, Kojak, and Columbo, and the 80s action-based cop shows that it paved the way for, such as Miami Vice.

From Wikipedia: Starsky & Hutch is an American action television series, which consisted of a 72-minute pilot movie (originally aired as a Movie of the Week entry) and 92 episodes of 50 minutes each. The show was created by William Blinn (inspired by the success of the then recent movie Busting), produced by Spelling-Goldberg Productions and starred Paul Michael Glaser and David Soul in the title roles, Starsky and Hutch. It was broadcast from April 1975 (pilot movie) to August 1979 on the ABC network.

Starsky & Hutch was distributed by Columbia Pictures Television in the United States and, originally, Metromedia Producers Corporation and later on 20th Television in Canada and some other parts of the world. Sony Pictures Television is now the worldwide distributor for the series. The series later inspired a video game and a feature film.

Every Friday l watched it in first season. The series moved to a Saturday. ED
I Bet you brought the mouthy magazine. I did . I had a teashirt and motel car .
I watched the Sweeney as a kid, l had the game . I am watching the Sweeney again on Mondays as it was first shown in 1975 . Police woman was in close Encounters of the third kind . In late 1970s David Soul did a night at my local theatre singing. He was a pop star as well . Brilliant video.
