Banking institutions and financial service providers around the world are accelerating their investigation and adoption of blockchain to address a range of core infrastructure challenges and inefficiencies, transform payment models and drive a wave of new offerings and assets. Open source technologies are front and center in many of the leading-edge deployments. In this talk, Hyperledger’s Daniela Barbosa will sit down with Joseph Lubin of ConsenSys and Christine Moy of JPMorgan to discuss the realities of deploying blockchain-based solutions across a range of financial use cases. They will draw from work they are doing rolling out solutions to enable central bank digital currencies (CBDCs), support cross border payments, cut settlement times and more. Discussion points will include: - How blockchain-based payment systems can drive new revenue streams (with examples) - The role of public, private and hybrid platforms in financial solutions and the growing need for cross chain interoperability - The value of open source software in driving the collaboration and transparency required to unite financial institutions around cross-industry and cross-border solutions
