It was another rambling speech of untruths and threats.

I find all of this 'Trump is a really tough guy' stuff a little much.

The majority of people don't panic nearly as much as the majority of people (perhaps, in part, because of the entertainment they're exposed to) believe.

It usually takes time for panic to set in. Lots of people will just stand around. Lots of people will be curious and want to find out what's happening, even if they're rationally aware that the situation is dangerous. A significant proportion of people will also react confrontationally, even if the odds are not in their favour. There are countless videos of people confronting terrorists out there. Anecdotally, I'm more than aware of it as, without thinking at all about being 'tough', behaving like this has led to my hospitalization.

If anyone's stance on Trump has changed significantly specifically because of the shooting and its immediate aftermath... Eh. Some people are beyond help.

If Trump really has changed in some way, if he stops behaving as he has? Then fair enough, people should reappraise him.

Simply claiming he has, because you favour him over Biden, or the Republicans over the Democrats, without evidence? Again, some people are beyond help.
