Just sharing some experiences,

traveling around vietnam, this router can be plugged directrly into the hotel's LAN port, or replace their router on the wall with yours.

And if thats not possible, the wireless lan WAN connection makes it a beauty and simplifies the need to do much config.

Though, be warn, for any existing devices, in the hotel or their respective LAN ports, its best to error on the side of cautiou, and copy the give ipaddress for your devices from the hotel wifi first, before attempting to change

as some of them, their dhcp doesnt release the ip, and thus, assumed as its being used.

I have Visible Plus and it has unlimited hotspot/usb tether but it’s capped at 10mbps. What i’m wondering is if i run a VPN option through the Gl Net dashboard while connected, would it unthrottle the 10mbps cap?

do you know how to do portal in hotel where mac doesn't work bc hotel knows the device type/name/os? can only change router name not os etc. seems like in us and other countries do. of allow these anymore. also seems to allow 1 ip into access only so no splitting 1 ip into new lan ip etc. goodbye switches too.

I followed your video step by step, but I still am not able to get internet access to my computer or phone through the Slate AX 1800. On the admin portal it shows that I am connected to the internet and a repeater as I am in a hotel. My internet shows I have a connection when I am both connected via ethernet from the AX 1800 to my computer or via Wifi. Yet whenever I try to actually go onto the internet, I get a "No internet" message. I copied the MAC address from my phone like you said in the video, but I just dont know what is actually blocking the internet.

I have also changed out the password on the router for my own, yet whenever I try to connect to it via my phone, it says incorrect password. It is 100% the same password that I put into the routers admin panel that I put into the phone to try and connect to the router, but it fails. Any help would be appreciated!

Appreciate it. Sometimes when I attempt to do the repeater with a captive portal. It works when my VPN is off, but as soon as I turn the client on, I lose the internet (client works if I connect to my hotspot or other non-captive WiFi) any thoughts there?

I was able to configure my router and my NodVPN, it was only one laptop that was able to connect to the internet via my GL-AXT1800, it was the one with which I was able to configure the router. The other computers for my family, were unable to connect. Could you help me. Even if I have to buy you some things because we're going on a trip in 3 days? Thank you so much!

I tried to tether through my S24 Samsung but i receive the msg "interface connected but no internet. " i enabled Usb tethering and Mobile Data Sharing through the settings and still nothing. Please help

I run Pi-hole with a recursive DNS instead of add guard. Also Ad-guard is Russian so not a fan.
