This is one of many things I enjoy about reviews that are made months after an IEM's released. You get to see what flaws begin to stand out overtime via user reviews. It's a shame the Chu2 suffers corrosion damage. Lots of complaints about it getting channel imbalance. Definitely not something I'd suggest anyone grabbing if they live in a humid or cold environment. I like your silica gel suggestion. Perhaps that might mitigate it somewhat. That aside, these are absolutely a must get for new buyers. The metal shell beats everything in your round up easily. Even with my heavy bias for the Wan'er and Zero2, I must give credit where credit is due. Cable is above average, but I wish they gave a mic option in 3.5mm which only comes in the Chu2 DSP. Great review

I grabbed the Chu II DSP to try different bass levels. I’m not new to the hobby but I haven’t pursued anything new in a decade. Back then, there was not as much of an emphasis on objective metrics like uniform measurements and FR target responses.

What if it compares to Blon BL03 a very old iems in the market for laid back, soothing relaxation ? Who wins ? Moondrop Chu 2 or Blon BL03 or Tangzu Waner SG Studio Edition.

Im a i first time iem guy. So i literally have no context regarding what to expect from the sound, but having said that I am into hip hop and Bollywood music. so in context to the Indian music palette what IEM should I be going for? I have heard a lot about the chu2 and there are multiple good reviews from my friends and youtubers. So i do want to give them a try but quite skeptical. Whats your opinion?
Ps- i shall be getting the dsp ones for greater convenience

Wanted to chip in and tell about my experience with them. Great fit, very light as well and i like the metal shell construction. I take care of them to my best abilities but some parts are wearing off after less than a year of usage and Ill mention them now.

The nozzle discoloration doesnt bother me since i have eartips over them so i dont care that much, i did not get corrosion but i got paint just coming off, will see how the corrosion will be since I do wear them a lot. However, one of the filters in it came off (the mesh with the gasket came off the metal part of the filter) and its a bit of an itch with the b to put back into place everytime when i need to clean them and I clean them every few days because earwax builds up p fast in my ears. Once I put the filter back in place its very easy to clean.

Another part is that the pin connector on one of the shells came a bit loose but its been like that p early on and hasnt gotten worse so i guess there is some qc variance in that regard.

Sound wise i am a sucker for diffuse field with a minus 3db on the bass shelf so i keep them eqed all the time and i love them. cant complain at all for the price, quite the opposite, bought a pair for my friend too who used to have marshall on ears and he loves them.

Another friend has the kato and while they are obviously better I can come back to these no problem after listening to the katos for half an hour.

Oh and the cable is bad but i can live with it with no issues.

Hi I discover your channel coz of Moondrop GATE and even watch your other video. Thank you for your active commentary in the video and in the comment section. I like your statement in the Tangzu Wan'er S.G. Jade video that it is preferable for those that listen to Anime / jPop music. I'm considering buying it as my first IEM

But after watching this CHU II video, this seems like a better starter / beginner IEM if I don't really focus much on the bass, treble, etc. etc. As a casual JRPG and Anime lover, which one do you still recommend? Tangzu Wan'er Jade or Moondrop CHU II?

And do you plan to review and rank the Truthear x Crinacle Zero? since you commented that it is one of the best for gaming

I was thinking of trying the Quark 2 over the Chu 2 hoping thaf it has less harmonic distortion at hogh volumes. Would these options be worth paying less compared to the ZS10 Pro 2?
