Celebrating Math! 'P vs NP' @FUTURIUM; BMS Certificate Ceremony @BBAW

Das After Movie beschreibt in schönen Impressionen zwei MATH+ Veranstaltungen am 1. Juli 2022: die öffentliche Veranstaltung zum Millennium-Problem "P versus NP" im FUTURIUM und die BMS-Graduiertenfeier in der BBAW.

1) Vormittags: Anlässlich der bundesweiten Veranstaltungsreihe „Die 7 größten Abenteuer der Mathematik“, lud MATH+ am Vormittag des 1. Juli 2022 die allgemeine Öffentlichkeit, aber vor allem Schüler*innen, ins FUTURIUM ein, um das berühmte mathematische Millennium-Problem "P versus NP" vorzustellen. Begleitet wurden die Vorträge von vielen spannenden Aktivitäten wie der KI-Kunst Portraitmalen mit Roboterarm, dem "Decision Theatre" zum Thema Nachhaltige Mobilität und der Signierstunde des Mathe-Comics "Ida und der Mathe-Agent" durch den Zeichner.

2) Der Nachmittag in der Berlin-Brandenburgischen Akademie der Wissenschaften (BBAW) richtete sich aufgrund der Fachvorträge zu "P versus NP" vor allem an Mathematiker*innen, Wissenschaftsjournalist*innen und die MATH+ Community. Im Anschluss daran fand nach zweijähriger Corona-Pause die Ehrung und Verabschiedung der bereits promovierten Absolventen der BMS in einer feierlichen BMS-Graduiertenfeier statt.

The After Movie describes the pleasant impressions of two MATH+ events on 01 July 2022: the public event on the millennium problem "P versus NP" at the FUTURIUM and the BMS graduation ceremony at the BBAW.

1) In the Morning: On the occasion of the nationwide event series "The 7 Greatest Adventures in Mathematics", MATH+ invited the general public, especially school students, to the FUTURIUM to present the famous mathematical millennium problem "P versus NP". The lectures were accompanied by many exciting activities, such as the AI art portrait painting with a robot arm, the "Decision Theatre" on the topic of sustainable mobility, and the signing of the math comic "Ida and the Math Agent" by the illustrator.

2) The afternoon at the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities (BBAW) was mainly addressed to mathematicians, science journalists, and the MATH+ community due to the expert talks on "P versus NP". After a two-year Corona break, the honoring and farewell of the already-graduated BMS students took place in a festive BMS graduation ceremony.
